BGA Architects were instructed to work on a luxury new build villa located in the British Virgin Islands, with the brief of reviewing the external elements of a scheme designed by others.

The proposals would concentrate on the external façades, with the introduction of a mixed material palette, reviewing the external window arrangements and to look at designing the outside external outdoor spaces to provide a coherent design.

BGA provided various options to the client to review, these were presented by producing CGI imagery, 360-degree panoramic renders and a video show reel.

A sun and shadow analysis was produced to support the design of providing the appropriate overhang to aid in solar shading from the intense sun.

As mentioned, the new build house is nestled amidst the breath-taking beauty of the British Virgin Islands, this contemporary villa perched on the edge of the pristine shoreline, it seamlessly blends modern luxury with the awe-inspiring landscape, offering a haven where coastal living reaches its zenith.

The materials proposed was a sleek white render and vertical timber cladding along with subtle introduction of stonework: The exterior is a visual symphony of textures. Crisp white render gracefully complements vertical timber cladding, creating a modern yet inviting façade.

Expansive Glazed Windows: BGA provided an alternative window arrangement to the design which aided in providing expansive views of the ocean and beach below.

Flat Roof Design: The flat roof design not only adds a distinctive, contemporary touch but also doubles to provide solar shading from the intense Caribbean sun.

Outdoor Oasis: Private Pool: The private pool, shimmering with iridescent blues, beckons you to unwind beneath the sun's warm embrace. It's a private oasis where you can cool off while surrounded by the symphony of waves.

Conversation Area: Nestled within the landscape, a conversation pit offers an intimate and comfortable gathering space. It's perfect for sharing stories under the starry Caribbean skies.
